Keeping water from pooling and collecting in my tarps (both over the construction and the materials) has been a headache since day one. Sometime last night one of the ties holding the tarp to the rope in the tree let loose and the tarp sagged, allowing about 10 gallons of water (80+ pounds) to collect in the center. About the only way (other than maybe siphoning) to get that amount of water out is to hand bail it from a ladder. I'm guessing that I wont be rid of this evil fully until the roof goes up, which is why we have gabled rooves in the first place.
