I was stretching in the backyard after a run when this baby squirrel fell out of a tree and landed on the ground not 10 feet from where I was sitting. We brought him inside and got him snuggled into box with soft clothes and a heated sock full of rice, then hung the box on the tree he fell out of, but the mother never came to get him. He spent the night with us and the next day we took him to a local person who takes in orphaned wild animals. Apparently she will care for him for a few months then release him near where we found him. The boys loved holding this adorable little creature.
