O'Shaughnessy Dam behind which is the Hetch Hetchy Reservoir which supplies fresh water to most residents in the Bay area. This is still in Yosemite, but much less popular and offers some amazing hiking and backcountry camping. Go here to get away from the crowds and still enjoy water and imposing granite outcroppings.
